Boston falls short, Lakers trash Bulls

Boston went down as many as 20 points and almost made it back but couldn't quite get over the hump, losing to Orlando 104-102. Paul Pierce missed the go-ahead 3-pointer as time was running out. Dwight Howard led the Magic with 24, while Rashad Lewis added 22. The Lakers reserves were lighting it all up as the Lakers pummeled the Bulls 106-78. Five reserve players were in double figures for the Lakers, and Kobe also had 18 points.
